Upper Hunter Family Support Service
Offers assistance to families who may be experiencing difficulties. Any family member can use the service, male or female, mothers, fathers, grandparents or extended family. Service provides home visits and centre-based individual and/or group sessions. Support may include: practical and personal support, advocacy, parenting strategies, information and referral, education, court support, financial information, group work, and assistance with other services, eg: Centrelink, Dept of Housing, DoCS, Schools, Real Estate Agents. Key function is to enhance parent’s skills and confidence in raising children, to improve children’s health and well-being.
